I was just thinking back to my early oils days. I truly didn't understand how powerful essential oils were and threw my body into a cleanse. A cleanse is when your body is dumping more toxins into your system than it can handle. Since the skin is your largest organ, the most common cleansing reaction is to break out in a red, speckled rash. It can be just a rash, can itch or burn, or both. I broke out all over and was miserable. What did I do?

A Feelings Kit Story
So many of our physical issues have emotional roots. I remember, about 15 years ago, my then 13 year old son came to me with a really bad headache. I happened to be on the phone with my energy work practitioner at the time and she said, "Have him get the Feelings Kit." As he went to get the box, my practitioner was checking which of the oils he needed. We ended up not needing to use any oils at all!! My son came back holding the box and said, "I picked up the box and my headache went away." THAT'S the power of truly therapeutic grade essential oils!!

Black Pepper
Last year my older brother and I went on a camping trip. It was
around an 8 hour trip so we had to get up pretty early to arrive during
check-in time. Even though we took turns driving we still didn't feel entirely
awake. So my brother popped out his Black Pepper oil and just a sniff on the
lid cleared my head, made me more alert, and got rid of all yawns.

Emotions and Essential Oils by Daniel Macdonald
I bought this e-book yesterday because I wanted a reference guide
specifically geared towards oils and emotions. The oil blends mentioned aren't
Young Living but I figure one can correlate what the closest match would be and
go from there. (That's what I'm going to do.) It's very direct and simple in
what oil stands for what emotion.

Lavender
I remember when I was a kid and smelled lavender for the first
time. I was anticipating it because I'd read and heard how fragrant and lovely
it was. Of course, I was expecting to smell something delightful like it had
been described to me in my favorite stories. Instead, the first thought that
came across my mind was how awful it actually smelled. It was a big let down
and I couldn't understand how anyone could say that that smelled good.
