Essential Oil Enhanced Positive Affirmations

In the most recent essential oils class we hosted, my Mom and I went over what Oola is and how essential oils may enhance positive affirmations. This is something I tend to naturally gravitate towards, mainly because I have always had a deeply embedded desire to be the best me I can be.

I first wanted to do this class because I wanted to know what Oola was and how they and essential oils worked together. I found that Oola was about having an optimal life by working on and keeping balanced 7 key areas. Positive affirmations, along with having a plan to reach your goal, are a big part of their protocol. (For a more in-depth look on Oola please visit Oola Life)

Young Living's Compensation Plan Explained

I've had a couple people under me asking how Young Living's compensation plan works and how they could get their own active downline. This is an excellent video explaining the compensation plan and I think it can give you all an idea of how you could get your own active downline. It's real simple and easy to understand. Enjoy!

Salad & Dressing Recipe

Alright! Yesterday I posted about how I was going to be making a salad from Paleo Leap but because I didn't have all the ingredients I was going to monkey with it and make my own version. I am happy to say that it was a success!
Here's what I did.

Me, Cooking, & Essential Oils

I've made gummies and tea in the past and have posted about it. This time it's brownies and an avocado salad. I love the flavor essential oils give to cooking and I actually find myself enjoying cooking. (I've never been a fan of cooking. Sometimes I day dream about having a personal chef :D)

Yesterday I took a gluten-free brownie mix and added 1 drop of both peppermint and spearmint oil. Having both of those oils in really rounded out the mint flavor. I wasn't sure what I was going to get when I did that but I've found I actually prefer the combo rather than just one sharp mint flavor. I'm glad I tried it and that it was a success.

Earlier today I saw a recipe with dark greens, avocado, almonds, and dried cranberries with a homemade dressing to put on it. (Here's the recipe from Paleo Leap: Cranberry Avocado Salad) It looks delicious. I don't have all the ingredients so I was going to make it with what I have and then monkey with an essential oils dressing... Maybe Citrus Fresh, olive oil, and such? I don't know what I'll eventually end up with, but just thinking about is making me hungry!

Hopefully it all turns out well and I can post a yummy, successful recipe for you all to try as well!

Spearmint Essential Oil

Spearmint (Mentha spicata), like many other herbs, has a history. It has been used by ancient cultures such as the Egyptians, Romans, and Greeks for various applications. Some of the uses were to freshen breath, as a digestive aid, to deter rats and mice from grain stores by spreading it around, colic, and more. It is still used in the Middle East as a tea after their meals.
