My Mom and I have started using the Twelve Oils of Ancient Scripture at nights and have been sleeping like babies. I haven't slept this great in years! I would go to "sleep" and still be somewhat conscious throughout the night. After using this kit, when I go to sleep I go to sleep. I'd forgotten how good it felt to actually wake up from a deep, lights out, sleep. ^^

Shin Splints
I've recently started running again and developed a slight case of shin splints. I got it really bad in high school when I joined competitive gymnastics for PE and I didn't want a repeat. So, I took out Aroma Siez and applied it to both my shins NEAT. I felt an almost instant relief, particularly when walking.

PMS/Menstrual Cramps
I've personally never had PMS/menstrual cramps so bad that it was debilitating. In fact it wasn't till years after I first started that I experienced any discomfort of any kind. (Ignorance truly was bliss.) I'd get cramps and start to feel really sleepy.

AromaEase Oil
I just received my bottle of AromaEase! Needless to say I was and still am excited. ^.^ As soon as I picked it up I screwed the cap off and took a whiff: mellow minty. That's the best I can describe it. It's taste is very similar to it's smell, just fuller. I could feel the icy, cool sensation from my throat to my stomach. I could even feel it in my teeth. >_<

Cat Rehabilitation Part 2
Here's a peak into how effective these oils are. Around an hour and a half ago they were in a fight that was stressful enough for Lilly that it caused her to stress pooh. Here are some pics of how they are now after oil application:
Essential oils are amazing! Anybody who knows cats knows that the probability of two cats practically cuddling when they're sworn enemies is pretty much none-existent.

Cat Rehabilitation
Our family loves pets. Growing up, I have never been without an animal, even if it wasn't "mine." Presently, a couple of my siblings and I have our own cats (we're all living together), and due to segregating them to our own rooms we created a territorial rift. Oops. >.< Now we are in the process of mending the rift, meaning we're slowly adding cats into one room until they form one clan. Let me tell you, doing this is like having a full time job and thankfully I can stay at home to do it. (I've learned my lesson and much more through this experience and now have a better understanding of how to raise cats.)

Hiking for a Day with EO Bug Repellent
I took my parents dog, Lacy Mae, out hiking with me today. The place we went to was very hilly and it was quite hot, but all in all it was still very enjoyable.
I made some big repellent for me with essential oils: blend #3 in the Connie & Alan Higley reference guide. Plus, I made a flea/tick collar for Lacy which basically consisted of purification and peppermint, mixed in ribbing alcohol, and her collar to soak it up.
Both worked wonderfully. Neither of us came back with any creepy crawly and I kid you not when I say the trails were crawling with ticks. Thank God they worked!

Just Uploaded a New Photo Art
I've just finished a photo art on Bergamot essential oil!
I'm a huge tea drinker and I've had my fair share of teas with bergamot in it. It never occurred to me that it was a citrus. I'd always thought it was some kind of spice like cardamon. When I found out, it took me a while to wrap my head around the fact that it was a type of orange. Even now it feels wrong to think of it as such. (It feels like it should be a spice from India lol) One day I'm sure it will settle in.

Don't Detox Like I Did!!
I was just thinking back to my early oils days. I truly didn't understand how powerful essential oils were and threw my body into a cleanse. A cleanse is when your body is dumping more toxins into your system than it can handle. Since the skin is your largest organ, the most common cleansing reaction is to break out in a red, speckled rash. It can be just a rash, can itch or burn, or both. I broke out all over and was miserable. What did I do?

A Feelings Kit Story
So many of our physical issues have emotional roots. I remember, about 15 years ago, my then 13 year old son came to me with a really bad headache. I happened to be on the phone with my energy work practitioner at the time and she said, "Have him get the Feelings Kit." As he went to get the box, my practitioner was checking which of the oils he needed. We ended up not needing to use any oils at all!! My son came back holding the box and said, "I picked up the box and my headache went away." THAT'S the power of truly therapeutic grade essential oils!!

Black Pepper
Last year my older brother and I went on a camping trip. It was
around an 8 hour trip so we had to get up pretty early to arrive during
check-in time. Even though we took turns driving we still didn't feel entirely
awake. So my brother popped out his Black Pepper oil and just a sniff on the
lid cleared my head, made me more alert, and got rid of all yawns.

Emotions and Essential Oils by Daniel Macdonald
I bought this e-book yesterday because I wanted a reference guide
specifically geared towards oils and emotions. The oil blends mentioned aren't
Young Living but I figure one can correlate what the closest match would be and
go from there. (That's what I'm going to do.) It's very direct and simple in
what oil stands for what emotion.

Lavender
I remember when I was a kid and smelled lavender for the first
time. I was anticipating it because I'd read and heard how fragrant and lovely
it was. Of course, I was expecting to smell something delightful like it had
been described to me in my favorite stories. Instead, the first thought that
came across my mind was how awful it actually smelled. It was a big let down
and I couldn't understand how anyone could say that that smelled good.

Dorado Azul
During the
winter my nose becomes runny and I'd heard that Dorado Azul helps with drippy noses. It did help but what I
noticed more than that was how it enhanced my sense of smell, particularly
right after I put it on. When it first happened it actually startled me. Smells
that were once distant were suddenly in my face, so to speak. I've thoroughly
enjoyed this experience and now when I put it on the sides of my nose I'll pick
up another oil and sniff away.
